GCS-040-NS
GCS-040-NS is a high-performance, non-silicone thermal interface gel pad. Designed for efficient heat transfer, it delivers excellent thermal conductivity (4.0 W/m K) with strong electrical insulation and mechanical stability. It’s ideal for use in applications where silicone materials are not suitable due to contamination or outgassing concerns.
The pad offers low contact resistance, high compressibility, and natural tack. It conforms easily to uneven surfaces and provides a reliable thermal path between heat-generating components and cooling hardware. It’s also free from low molecular weight siloxane, ensuring clean, long-term performance with minimal oil bleed.
GCS-040-NS is super soft (Shore 00 hardness of 30) and remains stable under operating temperatures from -40°C to +125°C. With tensile strength of 30 MPa and minimal total mass loss (<0.4%), it holds up well in demanding environments. It also supports deflection rates up to 40% at 50 psi, making it flexible and effective in high-compression setups.
Thermal impedance ranges from 0.38 °C-in²/W at 10 psi to as low as 0.20 °C-in²/W at 50 psi. These values ensure low resistance to heat flow, improving cooling efficiency and reducing thermal stress on components.
The pad is available in thicknesses of 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, and 2.0 mm and supports a wide range of applications. These include LED backlights, LCD displays, mobile devices, communication systems, laptops, servers, amplifiers, batteries, and automotive electronics like engine management and hybrid battery systems.
In summary, GCS-040-NS is a reliable, non-silicone thermal interface solution. It combines excellent heat transfer, electrical insulation, and long-term stability. Use it to improve performance and extend the life of electronic and automotive components where non-silicone materials are preferred.
